Moda Block Heads 4 - Block 28 and the End of Catching Up!

Can we really be on the last block? It feels like we just got started, but yes, this week is the end. So, I have this week's block, Block 28, in Yukata and Kawa for you and the last four catch-up blocks in Yukata. Whew!! We made it!

The final block, Blossom, was designed by Joanna Figueroa of Fig Tree and Company. It's a happy interpretation of open petals and I love it sewn in the blues of my Yukata collection! You'll find directions for Joanna's block by clicking here and you can follow her fun Instagram @figtreeandco to keep up with all her adventures.

I also love Blossom stitched up in Kawa, my new collection! The dark Indigo forms a stand-out center along with paler blue and pewter "petals". If you haven't heard, Kawa is available to pre-order on my site now!! Click here to reserve your pieces. You should see it in your local quilt shop soon, too!

My last catch-up Bonus Block is #5, Wheat Field designed by Moda Fabrics. These two prints from my Yukata collection give it kind of a retro feel with the dots and floral. It turned out so pretty! Click here to download a PDF of the directions.

I started early on stitching my BH4 blocks in Kawa, but wanted you to see them in Yukata, also. That's where the catch-up comes from! Block 11, Block Berry is such a fun block designed by talented Jackie McDonald of Sweetfire Road. I love it in Yukata's shades of Indigo! You can click here for the directions on Jackie's blog. Be sure to follow her Instagram, too @sweetfireroad

Block 12 was designed by Deb Strain. She named it Friendship Star which is so appropriate for a Quilt Along where we all become friends. It's lovely in Yukata with a sweet flower in the center. Click here to download a PDF of instructions for Deb's block. You can follow Deb and her quilting life on Instagram @debstrain

And finally, a catch-up of Block 13, Evening Delight designed by me! I really enjoyed being a Moda Block Heads designer this year and loved seeing everyone's interpretations of my block. You are all so creative! This version is stitched in Yukata and it turned out beautifully. Kanji in the middle surrounded by an Ikat style print and the wonderful floral. I just love it! Click here to see the post on my Kawa version, then click here to download a PDF of the instructions.
