Moda Block Heads 4 - Block 27 and a Whole Stack More
We're in the home stretch of BH4 now, so I have a whole stack (five!) of catch-up blocks for you today. Plus this week's wonderful Block 27!

Michelle White of Moda Fabrics designed Block 27, Threaded - a great, convertible block. Arranged in this configuration, it takes on the appearance of bowls, stacked right side up and upside down. Sew fun! Choosing different prints in just two color combos of my new Kawa collection really allows the block design to stand out.
Next in my Yukata collection! These gentle blues and striking Indigos look outstanding arranged in a stack. Michelle's block, Threaded, is so variable and fun to stitch. You could design a whole quilt just using her block in different colors, prints and arrangements! Back to the regular blocks now, here's Block 7, Game Board, stitched in Yukata. Designed by Lisa Bongean of Primitive Gatherings, the mini game board center makes a great focus. Block 8, Wild Geese, was designed by Kate Spain and it takes flight beautifully in these two Yukata prints! Lovely half-square triangles make up this great block. Bold, basic, modern and stunning, Brigitte Heitland's Cross My Mind is Block 9. Made up of simple strips and squares, the possibilities for this block are marvelous! The floral motif of two colors of Yukata's Mederion looks lovely centered in the squares. The inspiration for Chelsi Stratton's Block 10 is pretty clear, and so appropriate for a second look this time of year! Autumnal creates a classic leaf motif and I love the way it went together in my Yukata collection. Hanabana in Boro was the perfect choice to pair with three Yukata solids. Beautiful blocks and beautiful fabrics are the magic of quilting. I've really enjoyed seeing my Moda Shibori fabric designs coming together with the wonderful Block Heads 4 blocks this year! If you haven't sewn with any of my collections, they offer lots of artful possibility. Use my designs together or combine them with other prints or solids to make your quilting your own unique style.
