Finally!

Pictures of my new studio.

You better look quick because you will never see it this clean and neat again!!

This is the front corner showing a part of the French door

with my dragonfly mobile hanging in the window.

To the far left you can see the silk fabrics I sell on my website and use to have fun.

Below is a closet used to house fabric, rulers, patterns and STUFF.

Too bad it doesn’t have a door.

And that is my poster from 2002 Sisters Outdoor Quilt Show.

Don’t you love looking at those beautiful wrinkled hands sewing a crazy quilt flag?

 Studio 1

A larger area of fabric storage and a portion of my computer desk.

We finally have my computer working like it should.

My husband was desperate to get it working, he said I could not move back in the office portion of the house.

That is now HIS space. He doesn’t like my paper messes.

My cutting table and my sewing table.

My design inspiration board.

studio 3

Book case and fabric storage.

That is Betty Lou front and center. She is all dressed up for a party.

 studio 4

More of the same with a better view of storage.

The pictures on the back wall are framed needlework, I used to have time for such things.

Beyond that door in the back is my bathroom and washer / dryer area.

I just want to say that I know how very blessed I am to have such a fabulous area to work.

I do remember working at the kitchen table,

then a portion of the den in one house,

a large closet in one house. Then the boys moved out and I had a bedroom to myself.

When we moved here I had a room that originally was a porch then sunroom.

This is my most coveted room ever and I do appreciate it.

That said I need to get busy and mess things up.

Thank you for coming to visit.

Be sure to read my last post about going to see Martha Stewart if you haven’t yet.

40 women now known as the Sisterhood of Dreamers Into Doers are going to Manhattan to work, play and meet Martha.

I will be blogging and posting on Facebook as I live the adventure.

Please come along for the fun.

I am so excited, I am going to meet Martha Stewart!

It all began when my husband David signed me up for the Dreamers into Doersgroup on the Martha Stewart website.

I have always been a fan of Martha Stewart and love the things she does.

I have found inspiration in her magazines and on her television show,

David thought my journey with my quilt business would be of interest to others on the

Dreamers into Doers group so he took the liberty to join for me.

Then I really got interested and started to enjoy reading about all the others in the group.

There are 3,807 of them.

One special group now is Dreamers Getting Together.

It is coordinated by three very talented and dedicated women.

Jolene Mack of ‘Quite the Stir’,

Rachel Gaffney of ‘Rachel Gaffney’s Blogspot’ and

Terry Grahl of ‘Enchanted Makeovers’.

They have planned a most fabulous trip for 50 of us.

We will travel to Manhattan on January 19, 2010 for a cooking class at Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia offices.

Following this we have what is called the Dreamers into Doers Shelter Event.

 image

Women from around the U.S. who are part of the

Dreamers Into Doers group at Martha Stewart.com

will make a difference at a New York women's shelter for

domestic violence called Safe Horizon.

We will all share our God given talents at this event.

Some will be cooking or baking; others will be handcrafting personal gifts; and still others will share stories and songs.

We will all come together as a group not as individuals to make a difference in the lives of these women and children.

You can help bring hope to the women and children at the shelter by donating items.

Please visit the Enchanted Makeovers site to donate.

The details are all there – small or large, you donation will bring hope and joy to another person.

On January 20 we will all visit the Martha Stewart Show  and have a tour.

That evening we will attend a dinner arranged by the studio with Mike Michalowicz as the guest speaker.

Now you know why I am so excited!!!

Please visit all the websites to read about all the wonderful people involved in this adventure and

PLEASE DONATE FOR THE SHELTER EVENT!

DID member Michelle Biondolillo owner of Schuylark donated her time by creating a wonderful logo for the NYC shelter event.
